More kids are experiencing anxiety, depression, and related disorders. Many are in crisis and there has been an alarming increase in youth suicide.
Because C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital believes no pediatric suicide attempt or death is acceptable, we implemented the Zero Suicide Initiative to normalize suicide prevention and care practices for staff, youth, and families. Those at-risk for suicide can fall through the cracks in health care systems, so Zero Suicide works to close those gaps with system-wide, longitudinal, evidence-based care combining:
- Technology
- Training
- Behavioral Health Management
- Patient interaction
Our goal: minimize suicide risk of children in our care — and you can help! Your gift will help us pilot and support Zero Suicide’s seven-element framework.
We must do all we can to stem the tide of youth suicide by fully funding and implementing our suicide prevention efforts. Will you help us in our life-saving efforts to make a difference for families everywhere?
