Waraniak is a contributing writer. In addition to writing patient profiles for Michigan Medicine, he has also covered advances in cancer research, sports medicine, and mental health for Henry Ford Health System, Hour Detroit, SEEN magazine and many other publications. He is a graduate of the University of Michigan's English program and has taught creative writing at the university's New England Literature Program.
