The CFPA team serves as the main finance contact for a majority of the Michigan Medicine service areas.
We partner with our areas to provide customer support, including triaging analysis and report requests, and provide training on how to utilize our financial reporting tools. On a monthly basis, we complete month end financial and unit of service performance reviews for the segments of MM.
Additionally, the team consults with areas to facilitate lease vs. buy and other business plan analyses for decision making purposes. Annually, the CFPA team coordinates the budgeting process for all of MM (volumes and revenues/expenses), as well as the long term projections in the Strategic Financial Framework.
Key Functions
- Financial Analyses: Performs a variety of recurring analyses, contract support, and ad-hoc analyses
- Budgeting: Responsible for budget coordination, cohort & revenue and expense forecasting, analyzing actuals against budget targets, and executive financial presentations
- Customer Service: Acts as the point of contact for finance related questions from our operating partners
- Other Activities: Responsible for staff training & development in utilizing our financial reporting tools, and participate in other special projects as needed
